ORDERX — MT5 PANEL EA · DOC. GUIDE
User Guide
Set your risk, drag your lines, execute. OrderX does the sizing math and order mechanics — you make the trading calls.
- Attach OrderX to a chart in MetaTrader 5 (Navigator → Expert Advisors → drag onto the chart). Allow live trading when prompted.
- Set your risk — a money amount in your account currency, e.g.
250for $250. Adjust with the edit box or the − / + step buttons. - Drag the Entry and Stop-Loss lines on the chart. The panel instantly shows the lot size that matches your risk, priced with your broker's own contract specs.
- Press Execute. The order is placed at the lines you set, with the take profit drawn automatically at your R:R target.
OrderX is a manual trade manager. It never opens trades by itself — nothing happens until you press Execute.
The top bar of the panel holds seven controls:
| Key | Control | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| M | Market mode | When on, the entry line follows the current Bid, and Execute sends a market order. When off (default), the entry line stays where you drag it and Execute places a pending order there. |
| S | Split TP | Divides the order into two positions with separate take-profit targets (see section 05). |
| R | Reset | Puts the entry and stop-loss lines back to default positions. |
| H | Hide lines | Shows/hides the entry and stop-loss lines on the chart. |
| T | TP line | Shows/hides the take-profit line, placed automatically at your R:R target from the stop distance. |
| _ | Minimize | Hides the panel UI. The small LOT button on the chart brings it back. |
| x | Remove | Unloads OrderX from the chart entirely. To use it again, re-attach the EA from Navigator. |
Below the toggles: account balance and floating P/L, the risk edit box with − / + step buttons, the large Execute button (labeled BUY or SELL depending on which side of the price your entry line sits), and your open orders/positions managed by OrderX.
When the panel is minimized, the small LOT button stays on the chart to bring it back.
| Input | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
InpRisk | 11.0 | Risk per trade, in account currency. The single number everything else derives from. |
InpRiskStep | 1.0 | Step size of the − / + risk buttons on the panel. |
InpRR | 5.0 | High reward-to-risk target. The TP line is placed at this multiple of the stop-loss distance. |
InpRR_Low | 3.0 | Low reward-to-risk target, used for the first leg in split mode. |
InpMagic | 123456 | Magic number stamped on every order OrderX places. |
InpManageOnlyMagic | true | When true, OrderX only manages orders carrying its own magic number. |
You set a money risk. OrderX measures the distance between your entry and stop-loss lines, prices that distance per lot using your broker's symbol contract, and computes the largest volume that stays inside your risk — rounded down to a valid volume step. The panel shows the exact lot and the exact money risk before you commit.
This is position sizing, not prediction. OrderX has no opinion on where price should go — it makes sure that when you are wrong, you lose the amount you chose.
Toggle S to split the order into two positions:
- First leg takes profit at the low R:R target (
InpRR_Low, default 3R). - Runner takes profit at the high R:R target (
InpRR, default 5R). - Both legs share the same stop loss and together use exactly the lot your risk planned — total risk never changes.
The split-TP line on the chart follows the same visibility as the main TP line.
OrderX publishes its panel state and line prices to shared terminal storage. Open the same symbol on an M15 and an H4 chart: lines, toggles, and panel state stay identical on both. Edit on one chart, every timeframe follows — no re-planning when you switch frames.
Every order OrderX places carries its magic number (InpMagic). With InpManageOnlyMagic = true (default), OrderX lists and manages only those orders — your manual trades and other EAs' positions are untouched. Change the magic number per chart to run several independent panels.
Version 1.50 adds a full keyboard map so the whole flow stays on the chart:
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| X | Show / hide the panel. |
| P | Risk capture — grab the risk amount without touching the edit box. |
| Z | Import a ChartX drawing into the draft (see below). |
| J | Execute the draft — same as the BUY/SELL button, with the same 700 ms action lock. |
| M S R H T | Mirror the panel buttons: market mode, split TP, reset, hide lines, TP line. |
| - | Minimize the panel (the LOT button brings it back). |
ChartX import
Draw a Long/Short setup with ChartX, then press Z and click the drawn group — Entry, Stop and Target are pulled straight into the OrderX draft, and risk is re-sized from your own settings as always.
- All-or-nothing. A hidden or broken drawing is refused outright — the draft is never half-applied.
- Market mode must be off. With M on, import is refused and you are asked to turn it off first.
- Nothing is sent automatically. Execute (J or the button) remains the only way an order leaves the panel.
- Optional. OrderX works fully without ChartX — import is there only if you run both.
